Day o1 MON: workin at skinnie, get to know the staff, some are approachable n most make an effort to at least intro themselves to me. Apparently the shop are getting pretty dusty so we have to "spring clean" the place, John then told me my project adn then the rest of the day is workin like a sales assistant, quite confusing in the sense that 50% of the merchandise(accesories mainly) have no price tags and add to that there's a sale goin on, having 70%..50%...20%..and 10% off for different item and nt place clearly..v.v.v.confusing for me. add to that, another assistant that shld be with me is like 70% of the time nt in the shop(went chit chat la...forever lookin at herself in the mirror and retouching her make up etc etc...... so i was freakin out and worring what am i goin to do when the customer ask me for the price...later when she came back..she teach me abit n then expect i know everything and then was off again..OMG..John Ong will come to spot check the shops abt 2 times a day in which of cos the assistant will be back in the shop..haha...nt much chance to communication wif the staffs as i was always the only 1 in the shop and i dun wan to left the shop like dat..worried that some customer might steal things...so i guess they have this impression of me as someone whose v.quiet...no other human presenc ein the shop so who i talk to ??? wah liew....John Ong says tml(tue) i will be helping another shop assistant to change th eshop display etc..
Day 2 TUE: same as mon, just that I am workin with different shop assistant(my god she looks like ginli my coursemate and sound like seow yan my pri sch fren..), better as in that 50% of time she is nt in the shop, and often went for toliet/smoking break etc..change some of the shop display, got a bit more clearer about the pricing of the merchandise...Xing(okok..its WanXing) visited me as he n his frenz were in orchard and so was like dropping by n dat was like the first time we have seen each other in real person...n boy was he super tanned..was spectaculating abt he must be a farmer in his past life...HAHAHHAH..we chat abit..n i complain abt the songs keep playin over n over again..dat i m goin crazy etc..THANKS FOR VISIT..REALLI APPRECIATE IT
Day 3 WED: it's a One Man Show day, because the shop assistant which i was supposed to be working with ended up couldnt come because she was sick, but i only got to know that at 3pm+, was quite worried about handling the whole shop by myself, but whenever i encounter problem i will run over to fourskin to ask for the others to help, a guy by the name of John Ma came to change the sales sign to "2for $10" for both fourskin and skinnie shop and after that...ALOT OF CUSTOMERS CAME.....most of the time i was worring whether i have charge e customer the right price and the right discount a nt...and the place where the new piece are put in at are v. messy...one for the shop assistant came to the shop 2-3 times to help out a bit and i was v. thankful for that.some customer show attitude....wah liew..wanna slap their face..but also gt gd one la...alot of couples came..n if they came in to skinnie...they will also go fourskin...HAHAHA..buy qing nu zhuang i guess..
Day 4 Thur: I was assign to work over at the shop adorn wif a shop assistant. Ove at skinnie the shop assistant that was sick on wed was back.but came late...the day when by as per normal wif her dissappearing nw and den, i was supposed to be workin at adorn but ended up having to spend more time at skinnie to help her tend the shop...by 8+pm A LOT OF CUSTOMERS starts comin in and she was away for a long time to the toilet....when she came back, have a phone call to her bf n quarrel wif her bf loudly over the phone over some stuff.. she comment abt hw come the clothes so messy, i told her theres a lot of customer (meanwhile theres still a lot of cutomers) she took her cigarette and say she was goin out to smoke..i CANT BELIEVE IT...but cont to frantically serve e customer..but was also frustrated..after a while another shop assistant over at fourskin saw that more customers were coming in...came over to help out...and after all the customer were gone...he went back to fourskin and then the one who went to smoke came back , saw the clothes in a mess, and got angry. OMG, i was abit guilty of spending more time in skinnie then adorn but thank god for today there werent too many customers at adorn ..so the sales assistant workin at adorn still can handle it.Phew
